Ghost Hunt Review

Post  Serlie on Wed Sep 02, 2009 3:24 am

I decided to post up some reviews here, feel free to ask any questions about the anime.

Ghost Hunt Part 01 - Episodes 1-13
Japanese/English dub with English subs available
For ages 15+
Genre: Horror, Comedy

Here's one I didn't expect to watch, but I have and it's pretty good. The series starts off pretty well as it gradually gets scarier (but funnier) every episode (So i'm guessing part 2 is going to be a lot more scarier). This anime is one of the multiple episodes for one story which if broadcasted on TV would keep suspense every episode (So I tried watching 1 episode a day... it's hard). It also balances well the comedy with the horror genre, something you wouldn't normally expect, so while I find myself sitting at the edge of my seat Shocked I also find myself laughing in tears Laughing .

Ghost Hunt Part 02 - Episodes 14-25 (Final episode)

This is a LOT more scarier than the first half of the series. There was a lot of blood in the 'Blood Stained Labrinth' episode in partiular... actually what happened in that episode? I seem to have missed a lot of important stuff from hiding behind my sofa . Of course it's still as funny as ever, with some very touching moments too. This time the 1 episode a day task proved impossible for me, after watching one episode I kept watching the full case (Which all are 4 episodes long). The ideas created during the series are truly creative and watching the cast go through all the cases despite their own fears of possibly being harmed in the process really keeps your attention on screen. So despite my initial thought of not wanting the series, I'm glad I did watch it and it is definately one for those of you who are horror/comedy fans. (I want another series now haha)

Don't just compete against the others, compete against yourself too.
